Flamory

Flamory makes it much easier to work with text, images and other contents. It gives you the possibility of creating bookmarks on web pages, in documents and in many other locations. Besides remembering the location of a bookmarked item, the software also retains the contained text and it lets you use it right away, without opening the source document again.

The software comes in free and paid versions and it can be used on any modern Windows platform. It can be installed quickly, without making any complicated settings along the way. Also, there is no need to meet any special requirements and you don't have to sacrifice too much disk space, RAM or processing power.

While Flamory is working in the background, you only need to hit a hotkey to bookmark your location in a document or on a web page. The program will take a snapshot of the entire window and it will also capture the contained text. Alternatively, you can select a text fragment and hit the same hotkey if you wish to capture that specific piece of paragraph.

Bookmarks can be viewed on a user interface, which you can access through the application's system tray icon. The bookmarks are listed in a column, on the right side, where you can use keywords to find specific items instantly. When you select a bookmark, a screenshot of the captured contents will appear in the larger area on the left, along with options for cropping and inserting annotations.

Captured text can be found beneath the aforementioned screenshot, regardless if you have captured an entire page or a selected bit. The best part is that Flamory captures only the relevant text from web pages. For example, if you bookmark a web page with an article and other contents, the software will display only the article's text. Of course, you can still find the remaining text in the same area, on a separate tab.

The contents you capture can be pasted in other locations or restored on the screen. Screenshots can be pasted in photo editors or inserted into documents, text selections can be pasted in editors and so on. Furthermore, if you hit the "Restore" option, the software will open the source document or web page and it will take you directly to that specific section, where you took the snapshot.
